Morning,
I go to this great place downstairs almost every morning for a cup of hazelnut vanilla coffee, it's so soothing and full of rich flavours that I feel like I'm sitting on a terrace in Italy...but then my coffee is dunzo and I snap back to reality and realize that I am sitting at my cubicle...which isn't so bad, but it's definitely not Italy.
Since I haven't had that much work to do recently, I started to check out other blogs. I was so astonished to discover how creative and well versed most of you are, especially this blog Orangette...she writes so well, he words easy on the eyes and soothing to the heart I think that all of us need a little Orangette.
Yesterday I went to see the movie Juno, two thumbs up!! If I had more thumbs I would put them up too.

read your comments on orangette, my favorite blog... i agree that molly is amazing, and noticed that you are looking for feedback, so here goes. please try to take it as constructively as i am offering it. people enjoy molly's writing because she is relatable, and to a certain extent, positive. her posts are peaceful and about enjoyment, specifically her enjoyment of good food and friends. your post is not something i would be inspired to read again because parts of it sound rather whiney and negative. focus on the positive aspects. also, the posts ramble quite a bit. molly's stories meander their way into a cohesive whole. much writing of note seems to wander that way, but it's really microscopic description that enriches the story enormously in such a way that the reader doesn't notice the digression. try to give your writing structure. if molly was writing about her morning cup of coffee, she would begin with the description of the coffee, weave in the circumstances, accentuate it with her thoughts and feelings or memories of a particular cup or experience, enhance it with information about coffee products, and perhaps punctuate it with some interesting characters from her life. but the end result is that these elements are carefully woven together into a whole with focus. also, watch your spelling and grammar. practice your chosen craft as carefully as do those writers you love so much. remember, you get out what you put in.... best of luck with your blog and your job.... :-)
Hey Anon,
Thanks for your feedback, I greatly appreciate it and definitely take it as constructive rather than offensive! Things at work have been stressful and I feel many times that I have been put in awkward situations, the blog allows me to yes, vent and to also share with those who enjoy writing the scoop about publishing. I hope to also receive questions about how to publish, literary agents, and publicizing a book and the author.
I understand that you enjoy reading in the form of a novella or romanticizing the words however, my structure resembles Rebecca Eckler. I enjoy the way she writes, it's straight to the point...I will try for you and possibly for me to deepen the thoughts and search for inner meanings and appreciation of perhaps a cup of coffee.
Coincidently, I wrote an entire creative essay on a cup of coffee and got an A...I should have been a pro at that.
I hope you visit my blog again and continue to offer new advise.
Best,
BookGirl
